National Drama Theatre

This is the National Theatre, delivered by Mabetex during the year 2000. Also the Sakha’s Republic Government Hall was built in Yakutsk in 1993. This has been the very first job done by Mabetex in field of interior decoration.
Many others project were done in the following years. Construction in the Republic of Sakha is certainly all but easy due to the very dire climatic conditions of the country.

The theatre was founded on October 17th, 1925, starting with a Sakha group within the Russian Drama Theatre. In the 30s, it was known under the name of Platon Oyunsky, the founder of Yakut literature and a well-known public figure. In 1995, the theatre was given its present title. The theatre occupies a comfortable, modern building, and has a revolving stage, dressing rooms anda make¬up room.
The 400-seat auditorium is equipped with simultaneous translation into Russian and English.

Yakutsk (Sakha) is the capital city of the Sakha Republic, Russia, located about 450 kilometers south of the Arctic Circle. Population: 269,601 Yakutsk is a major port on the Lena River. It is served by the Yakutsk Airport as well as the smaller Magan Airport. It is a major supplier of diamonds. With a population of almost 300,000 and average winter temperatures of −34 °C (−30 °F), Yakutsk is the coldest major city in the world.
